Hi good people!
I'm all signed up to embark upon yet another barefoot cycling adventure - the epic 25000 spins event!
This summer I will be cycling down the Great Ocean Road, with the glump of humungeousness that is Teddy Teddision, for the amazing charity Bikes 4 Life.
Crossing the finish line will mark a total of 5000 km of barefoot pedaling around Australia. Whilst my feet aren't pretty and my bum will never be the same again, this charity's totally worth it.
Every cent raised will go towards helping to empower rural woman and children in Northern Uganda, allowing them to seek further opportunities to help their own socio-economic positions. As well as bringing bikes into these communitiees to help them to reach the medical supplies, education, and market provisions they desperately need; Bikes 4 Life hope to establish a training centre where youths will be schooled in bike maintenance skills, to give them the opportunity to work independently, and increase their household income. With your help, Bikes 4 Life hopes to break the cycle of poverty, and help Uganda move forward to a brighter future.
I ask for your support and your pennies to help raise as much as I can for those less fortunate souls whose lives can be transformed by the simple gift of a bike!

Bikes 4 Life
Bikes 4 Life is a not for profit organisation that alleviates poverty and social injustice in Australia and overseas by recycling and restoring discarded bikes. With the simple gift of a bicycle, families can enhance their standard of living dramatically, especially those in marginalised impoverished communities.
Our work has transformed the lives of many families by widening employment opportunities, gaining easier access to remote sources of food and water and ensuring that children are able to regularly attend schools.
It is the mission of Bikes 4 Life to replace the cycle of poverty with a cycle of hope.
